Lars’ work is deeply rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition. All his products are hand cast in porcelain clay, a process that demands both precision and dedication. Pieces often have clean forms accentuated with surprising decorations.

In 2005 Lars was on a 4-month stay in Japan at Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park. Here he had the opportunity to explore the Japanese ceramic tradition and this has left a clear mark on his products.

Lars’ latest work, in collaboration with &TRADITION, is a tableware set originally designed for the Copenhagen caffe Lille Petra.

A master piece of unique craftsmanship. The plates are decorated with a classic white thin glaze. The small brown specks visibly emerge from the clay underneath giving texture and porosity.

The calming surface enhances the colorfulness of the food. The gentle rim frames the final result against any organic table surface. We usually pair this set with bold dark marble tables.
